About Vicuña

Vicuña’s Beginning

Vicuña Coffee Roastery is named after the camelid by the same name. Vicuña live in high altitudes in the Andes Mountains where we also source our coffee. Vicuña are known to have the smoothest fur on the planet and are only found in the wild. Remaining undomesticated and free, this is exactly what we want our customers to feel when they drink our coffee.

I'm a runner, animal lover, and most importantly love coffee. Coffee has always been an important aspect in my life. As busy as life can get there has always been time to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee with family, friends, or just Redd. My wild spirit has always yearned for adventure and being free. My love of coffee took me south to Latin America where I met the beautiful people that grow the coffee and take care of the land. From then I knew exactly where my journey will take me. Bringing beans from Latin America and roasting them here in Chicagoland for all to enjoy. Have a cup and let your wild side out.
